My life has kind of sucked lately. I don't want to get too much into it, as it involves work and I don't know who will run across my blog. That being said...no matter how bad things get, I know that my family is there for me...even though they are 400 miles away. So, my bright spot for the day is that today is my parents 37th Anniversary! My mom and I have had many discussions lately about relationships and what it takes to make them work. I haven't dated alot in my life - mostly becasue I feel that I really know what I want in the person I marry. I want what my parents have. Do they get on each others nerves? Do they do and say things that aggrivate the other person? Yep...but through it all they are each others best friend. My parents were much younger than I am when they got married, my mom was three months pregnant with me, they had never lived on their own, my mom became a full time wife and mother six months after she got married. They struggled, my Dad worked two jobs so my Mom could stay home with us. Through it all, they stayed together, raised two moderately successful children and are still in love to this day. I can't wait until we can celebrate their 40th and 50th anniversaries! Here is a photo of them that I took when they visited this fall...I hope I look that good when I am 60! I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!
